Sabres introduced a new powerplay song during the playoffs.. and its

Dropkick Murphys
I'm Shipping Up To Boston

I'm a sailor peg
And I lost my leg
Climbing up the top sails,
I lost my leg!

I'm shipping up to Boston (Way Oh)
I'm shipping up to Boston (Way Oh)
I'm shipping up to Boston (Way Oh)
I'm shipping off... to find my wooden leg

I'm a sailor peg
And I lost my leg
Climbing up the top sails,
I lost my leg!

I'm shipping up to Boston (Way Oh)
I'm shipping up to Boston (Way Oh)
I'm shipping up to Boston (Way Oh)
I'm shipping off... to find my wooden leg

Jump off, but don't tell me about it

Game #2,3& 4 Round #2 - Series: 2-2 Tie.

QUICK JUMP SHIP!!!!

I sit at work everyday and throughout the year i listen to people jumping on the bandwagon and start talking about hockey. The little they know annoyed me a little, but then playoffs came and they know EVERYTHING about hockey... or so they think. Now that they rangers tied the series, most of these hockey gurus are calling it over.

Rangers played 2 great games in NY and the sabres played sub-par games.. but were still in it. In game 4 the 2 ranger goals were buffalo mistakes. They didn't beat the sabres, the sabres beat themselfs.

I picked the sabres to win it in 6.

On a brighter note, Paul Gaustad is going to play on friday!!!!

I can't wait to see him hittin and causing all sorts of problems for the rangers.. Keep an eye on him.

Go Sabres.

Belt Me

Game #1 Round #2 - 5-2 Buffalo, Series: 1-0 Buffalo.

New York Rangers.

Their name will only be mentioned in 3 more posts.

Sabres "out performed" (shannahan) the Rangers last night in an impressive win.

First period was tense and started to feel like playoff hockey.

Second period the sabres turned it up to 11 and the rangers paniced

Third period sabres went back to 8 and rangers tried to keep up.

game over

all 4 lines scored and the defence gave their lines not too many great oppertunitys.. and when they did, good old Miller was back there waiting.

I feel a New York State champions belt comming to Buffalo.

Ted is Dead

Game #5 Round #1 - 4-3 Buffalo, Series: 4-1 Buffalo.

Game 5 broght great play by the sabres and some bad. In the third period they sat back and let the Islanders get a glimmer of hope. Bringing it back to within 1 goal.

But with some good luck by Ryan Miller, final seconds on the clock, Sabres WIN!!!

New York is down bring on New York!

In the New York state championships the Buffalo sabres have defeted the New York Islander and move on to battle with the NY Rangers.

Friken NBC has caused game 2 to be on saturday afternoon.
Afternoon games suck.

Pregaming is limited to only 15 hours.

Cut through the heart

Game #4 Round #1 - 4-2 Buffalo, Series: 3-1 Buffalo.

No Goal!!!!

Islanders scored or didn't score late in the third periord. But it was called no goal on the ice and the refs are always right!

Drury netted the game winner and Pominville bull rushed his way to the net to put the game away .. after the Isles Didn't score.

Game 5 is comming.
The sabre is plunged into the heart of the Islanders, now twist and watch em die!

My beard is getting Itchy.

Take Jr. for the Hockey Gods

Game #3 Round #1 - 3-2 Buffalo, Series: 2-1 Buffalo.

Super charged and flying. The Sabres and Islanders both zipped up and down the ice and rammed everything in sight. I believe that was the best the Islanders could do, but not even close to what the sabres could do.

Adam Mair gets my star of the night. Mair was a clicking on all cylinders last night and hitting, skating, passing & SCORING, like a $5 million dollar player.

speaking of... Mr. Briere got the game winner, and started to show signs of contribution to this series.. in fact all the forwards looked good.

The Refs dropped the ball again late in the third, but this time the Islander fans decided to chuck everything they could find on to the ice. I heard a parady on the radio this morning and they were joking that the fans were hurling their children on to the ice for human sacrafices to the hockey gods.

and thats what the Islanders will need to win this series.

Blood in the Water

Game #2 Round #1 - 3-2 New York, Series: 1-1 Tie.

Sabres came out flat and unwilling to match the Islanders new found energy with the return of goalie DiPietro.
After the first period, the score 2 to 1, Buffalo got a few breaks with some power plays.. BUT, they couldn't produce. I hope this wont be a problem, 0-6 last night.
Third Period, Buffalo tied it up early and it showed signs of a comeback.

A few stupid penalties later and a few missed calls by the refs, and the crowd was in a fury. Chanting "Refs Suck" and various non appropriate things. Frustration was in the air.

Islanders Fuled this by scoring the go ahead goal.

Sabres Blood is now in the water.
They have now have something more to play for.
Revenge.

Shoot Me Once, Shoot Me Twice

Just recently I went to an Art opening for Jennifer Link "art + fashion: photography" here in Buffalo. The work was stunning! The colors and detail in every shot just blew me way and I found myself memorized.

Please go visit her website (hopefully she will update it with her more recent work that was shown in the show)
Most of her work is for sale.

Here are some samples of her work. I believe I seen these at the show.

Hide your children

Game #1 Round #1 - 4-1 Buffalo, Series: 1-0 Buffalo.

Drury and Cambell each lite the lamp 2 times, Miller held down the fort with 20 saves on 21 shots only allowing a the Ilsanders a jab on a 2 on 1 breakaway.

Like the Blitzkrieg, the offence being the ground troups and the defence being the air support, the Sabers rolled over the Ilsander.

Non stop four lines of fury.

How can any team stop this.

We will win this war!

ATTACK - RELOAD
